The Sooke Lake Reservoir is nearly full, but right on schedule, as of  May 1, stage 1 water restrictions will kick in this Friday throughout the CRD.

As of April 26 of this year, the reservoir was at 99.3% of full capacity.

The restrictions apply to any customer of CRD Integrated Water Services receiving drinking water from the Sooke Lake Reservoir, including residents, businesses and municipalities in the Greater Victoria area.  They are in place until at least September 30.

Trees, shrubs, vegetable and flower gardens may be watered by hand using a hose with a shut-off device or hand held container, or micro/drip irrigation system, on any day at any time.  But sprinkler watering is restricted to certain times and days.
