Halloween is just around the corner, but many of you might still be wondering what to do to get into the spirit. Maybe you want to do something ghastly and scary, or maybe you want to do something family friendly – either way, here are 32 things to do this Halloween Greater Victoria.

Vancouver Island Maze

Get lost in a one-of-a kind unique corn maze located in North Saanich. Bring the whole family & venture out into the “We Heart Vancouver Island” corn maze. Dress warm, wear boots, bring a flashlight & for the little ones a stroller with larger style wheels. Small interactive maze available for the kids.

Victoria Zombie Walk

This year’s Victoria Zombie Walk will be bigger and more of an all-day event, with activities for kids & after parties for adults. The walking dead depart from Centennial Square and move down both Government & Douglas Streets, ending at the historic Legislative Buildings.

PumpkinFest At Galey Farms

Festival Of Fear At Galey Farms

Another year of fear taking place at Galey Farms featuring a Haunted House for kids & and an EVEN scarier 6000sqft CarnEvil Haunted House for adults. Get lost in the fully animated Cornfield of Horror featuring a haunted mansion, pirate island, the Addams graveyard & more. Don’t forget to hop on the Crazy Train.

Victoria Masquerade Ball

Celebrating 10 years successfully supporting local charities. Join revelers of all ages at the Fairmont Empress for the party of the season! A night full of sensational entertainment, featuring live opera, dance performances & silent auctions. Enjoy delectable hors d’oeuvres and festive cocktails while dancing the night away to a live band in the Crystal Ballroom.

All proceeds from the ball will support Pacific Opera Victoria’s Youth & Education Programs at the newly opened Baumann Centre.

Bear Mountain Monster Run

Trick or Treat! In support of the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island. Fun race event for all, costumes highly encouraged. Run or walk 1km, 3km or 5km & make your way through the course collecting goodies donated by the event sponsors. Don’t forget to let out your inner monster & have fun filling your official monster run loot bag.

Ghost Bus Tours

Spend 2hrs learning about Victoria’s most haunted places, conducted by well-known ghost expert John Adams. Route changes yearly & includes 2 stops where you disembark the ghost bus for onsite ghost hunting & story telling. The Victoria Golf Course, home of Doris Gravlin ~ one of the city’s most famous ghosts is always on the route.

The Rocky Horror Show:LIVE

The Rocky Horror Show will once again be brought to extraordinary new life under the direction of Atomic Vaudeville’s Britt Small. Choreography by Sarah Anne Murphy, the musical direction of John Han, and a live five piece band are sure to have audience members singing, dancing, and screaming in their seats.

Spooks ‘n Spokes Ride

One of the most popular rides offered. Halloween themed 15km night ride ~ costumes & decorated bicycles are encouraged. Learn about the spirits who live in some of the finest homes and castles of Victoria. All night rides require functioning front & rear lights. Helmets mandatory.

Haunted Night Zipline Tours

Haunted Night Zipline Tours is full of terror and fun! There are strange creatures running amok & spooky tales to be told. Ghosts, monsters & tall tales are all a part of this very interactive experience, available only around Halloween. (You can take Haunted zip tour during the day for a less spooky experience.)

Treat or Treat on the Avenue

Each Halloween, Oak Bay Village hosts a community Trick or Treat! Following Trick or Treat, the Municipality of Oak Bay hosts a giant bonfire in Fireman’s Park ~ adjacent to the Oak Bay Police Department & Firehall. Enjoy hot dogs, hot chocolate, a Halloween costume contest, & a chance to spray fire hoses!

Pumpkin Art in Oak Bay Village

Oak Bay Village is now the home of Pumpkin Art! Hundreds and hundreds of carved pumpkins will be displayed behind the Oak Bay Municipal Hal,l featuring the likes of local personalities, cartoon characters, the Royal Family, the Beatles and more. During Pumpkin Art on Oak Bay Avenue you will also see pumpkins hanging on the street poles along Oak Bay Ave to get people into the Halloween Spirit. Plus, on Halloween between 2pm – 5pm kids can trick or treat at participating businesses in Oak Bay Village (participating businesses will have a pumpkin poster on their door).

Eerie Acres Haunted House

A one acre property in East Sooke is home to a unique yearly haunted attraction.
