The first festival oriented to showcasing cheese and meat arrives in Victoria on May 21st.

With the recent boom in artisan shops across the capital region, the Cheese and Meat Festival aims to showcase both international and local cheese and meat in an experiential tasting format.

Taking place at the beautiful Parkside Hotel and Spa, attendees will walk at leisure around the grounds while enjoying bite-size morsels of cheese and meat, and pairing them with wine, beer, and cider.

Should you sample something that was so good you wanted to take it home with you, the Cheese and Meat festival will have an onsite store allowing consumers to purchase the product they have tasted.

The festival will consist of two sessions:
Afternoon tasting: 3:00pm – 5:30pm
Evening tasting: 7:00pm – 9:30pm

In-between each tasting, seminars will be held showcasing cheese and meat creations, pairings, and unique offerings.

This is a 19+ event: no minors.

  1. Interesting, but…. how about one day, having a festival around food that doesn’t harm the environment or animals? There are SO many fantastic plant-based foods available now and it would be exciting to celebrate food that’s other than the ‘same-old/same-old’ !

  2. With all the negative stories in the news lately about the link between meat and cancer, can’t they come up with a healthier festival than this?
