Join City of Victoria tonight to discuss the draft 2016 Budget in person or online! (VIDEO)

Whether it’s your first time, or you’ve been around the budget block, the City of Victoria want to hear from you. They’re looking for citizens to share their thoughts on the draft 2016 Budget, whether you are a regular attendee at Council meetings, or can’t find City Hall on a map.

The City is hosting an e-Town Hall on the draft 2016 Budget on Thursday, January 21 at 7 p.m., a topic that is actually extremely relevant and important to everyday life.

From emergency services to recreation, parks, potholes, bike lanes and more, how a city spends money has a huge impact on both residents and businesses. An average homeowner ($518,000 assessed value) will pay approximately $3,200 in municipal property taxes this year. This is the time when citizens can actually determine how and where that money is spent.

Attend in person at City Hall… or on your couch, at your kid’s basketball practice, or in your jam space.
