More break and enters in the Shelbourne corridor area

Saanich Police are investigating another rash of break and enters in the Shelbourne St corridor/University Heights area. In early January, Saanich Police reported a series of 14 break and enters dating back to November and then nothing happened for a month.

Saanich Police have received 7 new reports in this same area between February 7th and February 14th. Like the other cases, these break and enters are very similar where the break-ins have been reported to have happened in the late afternoon hours and into the early evening, as well entry was gained via patio doors.

Police suggest homeowners take the time to inspect the locks on their doors and windows to ensure they are in working order. Several of the homes broken into had faulty locking mechanisms.

Anyone who may have further information about these incidents are asked to contact the Saanich Police Department at 250-475-4321 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
