As the Royals continue to battle for top spot in the Western Conference tonight against  Kelowna, the team announced that they have renewed their radio partnership with the Zone @ 91.3 on a multi-year deal.

The Zone @ 91.3 will broadcast all 72 regular season games and every playoff contest for the Royals. The new contract begins for the 2016-17 season.

All broadcasts will once again feature the Voice of the Royals, Marlon Martens, for play-by-play commentary. Additionally, each broadcast will feature a pre-game and post-game show.

We are pleased to continue our partnership with The Zone @ 91.3,” President and General Manager Cameron Hope said. “Whether on the air or streamed online, our fans everywhere look forward to hearing Marlon Martens bring the excitement of Royals’ hockey to them.

Martens, who has been with the club since the inaugural 2011-12 season, will continue to provide play-by-play commentary for the Royals.

The Zone @ 91.3 is excited to be continuing our play-by-play partnership with the Victoria Royals,” General Manager of The Zone @91.3 Rob Bye said.

We feel that our broadcast team is second to none in the WHL and we feel the same way about our Victoria Royals.  We would like to thank our broadcast sponsors who, like us, are proud supporters of Royals’ hockey!

Fans can listen to The Zone @ 91.3 tonight for all the action as Victoria and the Kelowna Rockets face-off in a battle between the top two teams in the WHL.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. in Kelowna with the pre-game show beginning at 6:45 p.m.

The Royals return home on Saturday, March 19th to wrap up the regular season with a match against the Everett Silvertips on Fan Appreciation Night. Puck drop slated for 7:05 p.m.
