With the Stanley Cup on the line tonight, we figured today would be the ideal day to show off this ultimate hockey cave. The Cave” was recently ranked the third Hockey Man Cave of all time by Upper Corner Hockey.

Everywhere you look is dedicated to hockey! Located in Vic West, the project took over three years to complete, with over 3000 hockey sticks used to make the floor, furniture and other unique creations.

Kenn Shaw built the Ultimate Hockey Fan Cave – also known as “The Cave” from the ground-up, with the sole purpose of having a place where friends, family and the hockey community could go and share their love and passion for the game.

Everything is made out of broken hockey sticks, chairs, wine racks, tables, TV frames, lights, bars, growler cases, fans and so on. Shaw estimates there are at least 1500+ sticks in the one-of-a-kind floor alone.

“The Cave” is also home to some original hockey memorabilia, including the first ever two-foot replica Stanley Cup, which has been signed by 70+ NHLers and Hall of Famers including: Gretzky, Howe and Bellevue.

“This is impressive in itself…  You can’t go to Home Depot or Lowes to pick up this flooring… this is years upon years of hard work of breaking hockey sticks. As impressive as it is… it isn’t the only hockey detail that should grab your attention.  Look at the three helmet lights to the right of the photo over the bar. The Coffee table made out of all hockey sticks. The chairs on the right made out of hockey sticks… it is endless.. it is like a where’s waldo of hockey man cave!  A+” exclaims Brent Dolan of uppercornerhockey.com.

Any team, player and organization is welcomed as long as they love hockey, and apparently it is the only private place in the world to celebrate the sport of hockey in its entirety, not just one single team.

The Cave was a community effort, where friends and family and even local businesses, donated time and materials to help Kenn achieve his dream. Over the 3 years of construction, Kenn Shaw kept a list of the names of each person or company who helped build The Cave, and as a thank you, had all of their names engraved on to the Stanley Cup replica.

You can follow the happenings of The Cave, including all creations and events, on these social media channels and website.
