Hats off to you, Victoria – Hockey for Food was a success, and it couldn’t have done it without you!
Hundreds took part in the annual Five Hole for Food charity ball hockey game, with funds raised going towards to the Mustard Seed to help feed the city’s less fortunate.
There were friendly games between firefighters, police, various companies, schools, city councilors, mascots, MLA’s and included a VIP game with ex-NHL players.
Hockey for Food event is inspired by Five Hole for Food and hosted by Topaz Hockey.
Organizers say the purpose the event is to bring the city together for a fun event out of the office, but to raise much needed food and funds for the programs being offered at The Mustard Seed Street Church.
A total of $13,000 and 1,330 lbs of food was raised for the Mustard Seed.
