FRIDAY July 8

KiSS Onesie Party at Uptown

  • What: Grab your friends, throw on your best onesie or pajamas, and join KiSS for a free outdoor movie! They’ll be showing Pitch Perfect on a giant inflatable screen in the courtyard! Best of all, it’s free to attend! Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy a night out with friends. Everything gets kicked off at 8:00pm. With lots of prizes, it’s sure to be a fun night for all!

Beach Food Fridays

Concerts in the Park

  • What: Live entertainment. Stomp Club Jazz will be performing on stage from 1:30-3:20pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, enjoy a picnic while taking in the tunes.
  • Where: Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park

Bites, Brews and Bands on the Barge

  • What: Every Friday (excluding July 1st) head to Ogden Point for Victoria’s Finest Food Trucks, alongside fabulous local beer from Phillips, Hoyne, Driftwood as well as local cider from Sea Cider, and take in great local music on the Breakwater Barge. A perfect way to start the weekend! 3pm-9pm.

Victoria Shamrocks

  • What: vs. Coquitlam Adanacs. Game begins at 7:45pm. Tickets still available.
  • Where: The Q Centre, 1767 Island Highway

SKAMpede – Friday Night Feast

  • What: A special viewing of three SKAMpede tours, followed by a three course dinner at the Hub and viewing of the remaining shows. Tickets $50. Event from 5:00-9:00pm
  • Where: 360 Harbour Road

Bikeopia Music Festival

  • What: As the Pleasant Revolution embark on a tour through the Pacific Northwest they will work alongside local musicians, bike enthusiasts and environmental groups to co-create these grassroots, community empowered festivals. All of the sound amplification is powered by stationary bikes. Event from 6:00-10:00pm

Eats & Beats at the Beach

PLEASE NOTE: Ocean Boulevard will be closed to traffic between 9:00am-9:00pm. Parking available along the lagoon on either side of the event location. 

Pride in the Word

  • What: TD presents some of the proudest and most talented writers from Victoria and across the country. Featuring Jillian Christmas, Erin Cotton, Heather Gold, Nicola Rodriguez, Mariko Tamaki. Hosted by Billed Nickerson. Show begins ay 7:00pm (doors open 6:30pm). Tickets $13
  • Where: Vic Theatre, 808 Douglas Street

19th ROMP ~ Festival of Independence Dance

  • What: Premiere of Joshua’s solo collection LONE WOLF, show begins at 7:00pm (doors open 6:30pm) and Meagan O’Shea’s Occupy-inspired WE DON’T NEED ANOTHER HERO, show begins at 9:00pm (doors open 8:30pm).
  • Where: Metro Studio Theatre, 1411 Quadra Street

  • What: Live entertainment. Pinnacle Brass Quartet Jazz will be performing on stage from 1:30-3:20pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, enjoy a picnic while taking in the tunes.

Pop Up Saturdays at Market Square

  • What: Featuring local talent, enjoy listening to music by up-and-coming performers and seasoned musicians. Niels Petersen & Connie LeBeau performing from 1:00-3:00pm followed by John MacArthur & Friends from 3:00-5:00pm.
  • Where: Market Square

Decks by Greg, Eves of Destruction

  • What: Featuring the Crusher car jumps, van blow up, lord demo series, NEXX Financial claimer cars, boat races, chain races and a total destruction derby. Grandstands open at 4:30pm.

SKAMpede

  • What: Outdoor live performances for the whole family to enjoy. Take in a series of short shows along Harbour Road and Galloping Goose. Best mode of transportation is by bicycle, rollerblade, electric mobility scooter, skateboard or on foot. Fun begins at 12:00pm and finishes at 6:00pm.

TICKETS: available on site $10/adults (13yrs +), kids under 12 FREE

Victoria Harbourcats

  • What: Victoria Harbourcats vs. Bend Elks. Game begins at 6:35pm. $10 general admission, $15 premium seating.
  • Where: Royal Athletic Park

Best of Ballet Victoria

  • What: An evening of dance with Victoria’s best of the season. Enjoy classics of Pink Floyd, Leonard Cohen, Dave Bubek, Sting and more. Show begins at 7:30pm
  • Where: Mary Winspear Centre

Bike Auction

  • What: Bikes available in all shapes and sizes. Viewing begins at 9:00am, auction at 10:00am. Enjoy pancake breakfast by donation at 9:00am or hotdog by donation at 11:00am. All proceeds to benefit the Fire Fighters Ambassador program.
  • Where: Langford Fire Department Station 2, 3205 Happy Valley Road

SUNDAY July 10

Victoria Pride Parade

  • What: Share your PRIDE!! Enjoy a beautiful scene of over 100 colourful groups and floats, or march yourself with local business, non-profits, the LBGTQ community and their allies in Victoria’s 2nd biggest parade of the year. Parade beings at the corner of Government Street and Pandora at 12:00pm. Parade will move along Government to Belleville, down Menzies to Kingston, left on Oswego and ending at MacDonald Park.
  • Where: Government Street at Pandora Avenue

Victoria Pride Festival

  • What: TD presents a free family event taking place after the PRIDE parade. Entertainment, beer garden, food court, vendors, kid’s camp and this year’s newly added politically-oriented Queer Town.
  • Where: McDonald Park, Simcoe Street

Saanich Strawberry Festival

  • What: Celebrating 50 years! Enjoy plenty of family activities from face painting, program demonstrations, model boat displays, arts and craft station, pie eating contest and more. Traditional serving of strawberries and ice cream begins at 1:00pm until 3:00pm. Event from 11:00am-3:00pm. FREE admission.
