Can you conquer Metro Victoria’s tallest mountain?

Share

The paved road to the top is just a short 1.63 kilometres long, but it’s the vertical rise that’ll really challenge you.  Saanich’s Mount Douglas rises 225 metres (738 feet) from the base of Churchill Dr. to the top of the peak at the lookout.

And on the morning of Saturday, September 3rd, you have an opportunity to face off against other fleet-footed challengers to see who’s the king of the hill.

The Mount Doug Ascent is part of a series of local road races known as the Christie-Phoenix Insurance Victoria Run Series.

To participate, you can register HERE for just $15 (advance) or you can pay $20 on race day at the start line.

The organizers are also looking for a few volunteers to help out.  If that’s more your speed, contact Christopher Kelsall at christopherkelsall@gmail.com
