Police say 63-year-old Daniel (Danny) Joseph was last seen walking into the woods near the 4300 block of Webdon Road last night around 8:00pm. There is no indication of where Mr. Joseph may be headed.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP said they have checked and eliminated Island Hospitals and commercial businesses where Joseph may have gone.
Cowichan Valley Search and Rescue are currently on the ground actively looking for him. The Police have engaged the Police Service Dog but the team was not able to locate a track.
It is believed he may have become disoriented. He does have a medical condition that requires daily medication that he has left at home.
Joseph is described as:
First Nations male
178cm (5’10”) to 183cm (6′) slender build
Black hair (balding)
He has missing teeth and an under bite
wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, and grey shoes
