Frank Stanford retires from CFAX radio, after 30 years

We learned this morning that long-time CFAX radio host and reporter Frank Stanford has retired.

Al Ferraby made the announcement quietly on air this morning.  Stanford did not call in or appear on air to comment.

The news comes after an unexplained extended absence for Stanford, who had not been on air since late June, the same week that veteran Ian Jessup was let go by the station.

Puget Sound Radio reports that Stanford had served at CFAX for 30 years, part of a career that spanned over 40 years.
