Huge Saanich Peninsula air show this weekend is little in name only

Share

It bills itself as “Victoria’s Largest Little Airshow”, but now in its 15th year, there is nothing small about this annual event.

The airshow was started in 2001 as a way for the local remote-control flying club, Victoria Radio Controlled Modelers Society (VRCMS) to give back to their community. Since that time the annual airshow has raised over $241,000.00 for local charities, including the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation and CFAX Santas Anonymous – all thanks to the generous support of the public and sponsors.

Victoria’s Largest Little Airshow is held every summer at Michell Airpark on the Saanich Peninsula. The event draws thousands of spectators and over 50 pilots annually. The airshow is free to attend and relies solely on public donations. This Saturday and Sunday, August 13 & 14, 2016, every penny raised will be donated to CFAX Santas Anonymous.
