The execution of a search warrant Friday led to an arrest and the seizure of drugs on Queens Avenue.
Victoria Police are recommending six drug charges against a 31-year-old Victoria man, who is known to police, after the search warrant was executed by the department’s strike force section and the Greater Victoria emergency response team in the 800-block of Queens Avenue.
Officers located half a kilogram of methamphetamine, 42.5 grams of cocaine, two grams of heroin, and four litres of Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid, better known as GHB, and several weapons, according to VicPD Const. Matt Rutherford.
Police are recommending a total of six charges against the man:
- Three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of a controlled substance;
- Two counts of possession.
A woman was also taken into custody, but later released with no charges.
