1. St Valentine’s Chocolate Tea at Abkhazi Garden

4. Lock up your Love!

  • What: Love locks are a longstanding tradition that’s popular around the globe. Lovers place a padlock – often inscribed with their names or initials – onto a gate, bridge or sculpture to celebrate their unbreakable love. Grab your lover, a lock and head to Uptown’s giant heart-shaped love locks sculpture. Post a pic of your love locks to Instagram using #uptownlovelocks and you could win a $500 gift card. Then pop over to Fin & Pearl Eatery at Whole Foods Market for their romantic February special of buck-a-shuck oysters and $6 glasses of local BC wine.

5. Valentines Dinner Show – Gonzalo Bergara Quartet

  • What: For lovers of great music and fine dining The Victoria Django Festival presents international headlining artist The Gonzalo Bergara Quartet and NYC piano master Misha Piatigorsky at Northern Quarter on Valentine’s Day. Chef Torin Egan has prepared a special three course menu for this concert which will be the top dinner/concert ticket of the year for those lucky enough to attend!

6. Valentines Jazz Concert: Edie DaPonte & Company

  • What: A very special Valentine’s evening of music featuring: Singer, Edie Daponte with Joey Smith/ bass and guitar, Karel Roessingh/piano, Damian Graham/drums, Richard Moody/violin and Dave Flello/trumpet. Music of Edith Piaf, Abbey Lincoln, Jobim, Nina Simone and originals from Edie, Damian and Richard.

7. Watch a Valentine’s Day classic: A Good Day to Die Hard

  • What: Curl up with a box of chocolates and log onto Netflix to see John McClane travel to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working undercover, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces. It doesn’t get better than this. No, really! Released on February 14, 2013 it has come to be a Valentine’s Day tradition that many appreciate.
