Share

St. Patrick’s Day just came and went, and with it, proof that Victoria loves to party! If you’re someone who’s always looking for an excuse to go out and have a good time with your friends, look no further.

Here’s your comprehensive guide to the happy hours of some of the best pubs and restaurants in town, so you can get lit without breaking the bank!

1) Milestones Grill and Bar

Whether you’re visiting Victoria for the first time or have lived here your whole life, we recommend coming here on Mondays or Tuesdays for the best bang for your boozy buck.

MondaysGirls’ Night Out OR Beer & Bros – gets you 4 bellinis and 4 appetizers, OR a pitcher (60oz) of domestic beer and 4 appetizers, all for $40!  TuesdaysBellini Tuesdays, where their signature bellinis are only $4.50, and a larger bellini bowl is $6.50!

2) Original Joe’s Restaurant and Bar

This classic resto-bar in Tuscany village and Langford is perfect if you’re looking for refreshments any day between 3-5pm and 9pm-midnight. Their specials include $5 Caesars, $4 Highballs, and house wine for $4!

3) Maude Hunter’s Pub

A favourite for students and seniors alike, Maude’s is everyone’s frequent haunt, especially on Wing Wednesdays – not only are the wings dirt cheap, but you can also get $5.25 pints and, my personal favourite, $6 double gin and tonics!

4) Darcy’s Pub

Whether you’re closer to downtown or live in the Westshore area, Darcy’s has got you covered every day of the week. Happy hour is 4pm-6pm every day, with $4 draught, highballs and house wine, accompanied by some great live music!

5) Moon Under Water Brewpub

This slightly lesser known Bay St pub has a unique theme, and drinks to match! Visit them on Mondays 11.30 am – 11 pm to try their delicious Moon Pints for $4.50!

6) Belleville’s Watering Hole & Diner

Often identified by their bright orange umbrellas and close proximity to the harbour, Belleville’s specializes in generous happy hours. Enjoy $5 highballs and wines 3pm-6pm Monday to Saturday and Wednesdays 9pm-midnight.

7) The Tapa Bar

This adorable restaurant in the heart of downtown is the place to go if you’re craving a good sangria. Visit any day between 3pm-6pm to get a glass for $5!

8) North 48

This chic-yet-rustic new joint has something that every Victorian must try – their signature tiki drinks! Go between 4 pm-5.30 pm, Tuesday-Saturday to get one for $6.

9) Glo Restaurant + Lounge

Another beautiful waterfront restaurant, Glo’s Happy Hours are from 2 -5 pm and late night every day! Try their delicious Glo Lager for $5.50 or their famous prosecco cocktails for $7!

10) Earl’s Kitchen & Bar

Here’s another Victoria classic that also has a great Happy Hour menu! Featured every day 3pm-6pm and 9pm to close, Earl’s has the most inexpensive highballs at $3, and they make a wicked Moscow mule for $7!

Although this concludes our list for now, these are just a small handful of the many amazing restaurants and bars in this city. What are some your favourites?
