Victoria Flower Count is here March 6th – March 12th, 2017!

The annual Victoria Flower Count commenced today, and even the morning snow did not stop the counting!

The light-hearted event begins March 6th and runs through March 12. Each municipality across Greater Victoria is encouraged to take up the challenge to be the “Bloomingest Community”.

In 2016, 25,864,976,064 blooms were counted! Though this year, the persistent cold fronts and several snowfalls have delayed many blossoms, there are still lots to be found!

We headed to Finnerty Gardens and discovered hundreds of snowdrops, daffodils, and even rhododendrons.

Post your flower count at: http://flowercount.com and share your photos on social media with the hashtag #FlowerCount

Show the world that Greater Victoria has the earliest blooming flowers in Canada!
