West Shore RCMP is crediting an alert citizen who reported a suspicious vehicle outside a business on Easter Sunday.
The person called West Shore RCMP at about 5 a.m. to report a pickup truck parked against the back of a tire shop on Sooke Rd in Langford.
Police arrived to find a female inside the truck and a man crawling on the ground next to it.
A large number of tires believed to be stolen from the shop were found in the back of the vehicle.
Both individuals were arrested, and a representative of the business was able to confirm that the tires belonged to their shop.
Andrew Trueman, 37, and 45-year-old Carol Poole have been released on bail and are set to appear in court again on May 4, 2017.
