Thursday morning brought a rare sighting for fishermen, the coast guard, and a few beach-goers. An estimated 200-metre wide waterspout rose out of the Salish Sea.
“It’s something like I’ve never seen before, like God reaching down for some fish,” Shaun Radke told CTV. He spotted the spout while on a fishing vessel.
The spout lasted approximately 10 minutes and appeared near Lasqueti Island, near Parksville.
