Johnny Depp spotted filming at Hatley Castle in Colwood

The iconic Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp has been spotted at Hatley Castle, which is presumably one of the sets for his upcoming movie, ‘Richard Says Goodbye’.

Depp was first seen working on the movie in Vancouver in July.

Since then, he has been seen around BC a few times. Most notably, he made a stop at the B.C. Children’s Hospital dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow! The beloved pirate was a hit with the kids, as he went from one room to another, entirely in character.

His new movie, Richard Says Goodbye, is a comedy-drama film directed by Wayne Roberts, in which Depp plays the role of a disenchanted college professor who receives a fatal diagnosis, and starts living the rest of his life with reckless abandon.

Filming At Hatley Castle Reportedly Continuing Today

Film crews are still on scene at Hatley Castle as of Wednesday, August 23. And it appears that at least one lucky fan managed to meet the Hollywood star himself.

This isn’t the first time a well-known Hollywood actor has made a stop in Victoria to shoot a film. Just a couple of months ago, actor Ryan Reynolds made a stop at Hatley Castle to work on his sequel to Deadpool.

So keep your eyes peeled, Victoria – who knows which Hollywood A-lister will be paying us a visit next?
