UPDATE: 26-year-old Russell Walkus has been located and is safe, according to Nanaimo RCMP. They also thanked everyone who assisted in looking for him.

The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 26-year-old man.
Russell Walkus left his south Nanaimo home on Thursday, October 26th and has not been heard from since.
Walkus is a First Nations male, 6 ft tall, weighing 170 lbs, and has short black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, white shoes and a Chicago Blackhawks hat.
Walkus’ disappearance is troubling to his friends and family as he has been having some personal issues lately. He does not have access to a motor vehicle and doesn’t carry a cell phone.
Police are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
