Ever wanted to be in an episode of the Rick Mercer Report? If you’re a local, today might’ve been your last chance.
The Canadian comedy icon stopped by the University of Victoria to film a segment of his show, which is currently airing its 15th and final season.
After UVic tweeted that Mercer would make an appearance, hundreds of students waited outside the McPherson Library.

But Mercer’s report appeared to have more substance than simply greeting fans. He also met with the Victoria Hand Project, a UVic-based company that distributes affordable, 3D-printed prosthetics to developing countries.
