Victoria Fashion Week, in partnership with Studio Robazzo and The Bay Centre, is about to throw the hottest party of the year, and it’s all about high fashion.
Strike Midnight aims to highlight the talented individuals in our city’s fashion industry that often go unnoticed, despite being worthy of international fame.
More than just a fashion show
Not only does this promise to be the one of the most happening events of the year (there’ll be drinks, DJs, and dancing galore!), but it’s also all about showcasing local talent.
Guests will be treated to performances by three of Victoria’s favourite models: ballet by Geneva Frampton, contemporary by Alicia MacLaren, and voice solo by Hannah Morrison.
Along with the models, Victoria Fashion Week’s team of over 100 people include highly skilled local stylists, photographers, and producers – individuals whose expertise is about the be brought to the city’s attention for the first time.
Featuring Victoria’s boutiques and designers
This night is all about putting your best fashion foot forward – island style!
So the models will be showcasing some of the most alluring outfits crafted by local designers and boutiques.
From modern edgy pieces, to seductive lingerie – you’ll be introduced to the elusive chic and voguish side of Victoria that is so clearly ready to come out of the shadows and into the spotlight.
Launching the city’s own brand of high fashion
“There is amazing fashion in this little city, it just needs a brighter light shined on it,” says Nathalie Down, fashion director and co-producer of Victoria Fashion Week. “This party is to reveal to ourselves and to the international community that Victoria is ready to host its first full-scale international fashion week, that our local talent is on par with the global fashion community, and that with the right platform, our fashion scene speaks for itself.”
Victoria Fashion Week plans to use all proceeds from Strike Midnight to fund the city’s very first local and international runway shows, set to take place in March 2018.
