Parks in Greater Victoria could possibly enforce a 3 dog per person limit

Share

If you have four or more tails wagging at your side in a Greater Victoria park, you could be required to take your pooches elsewhere.

A staff report has been approved by the Regional Parks Committee that would limit people to a maximum of three dogs per person.

The report must now go through the rest of the CRD board before moving forward.

Commercial dog walkers would work with different guidelines, allowing a maximum of 8 dogs per person.

The staff report also suggests that commercial dog walkers require a permit and pay a $320 service fee.

Should these regulations be approved, the dog limit would come into effect May 1st, 2018.
