Victoria police have launched an investigation after a syringe was located in a downtown parking pay station earlier this week.
According to police, the uncapped syringe was discovered Tuesday but wasn’t reported to police until today.
It was located where you would normally collect your ticket and placed in such a way that the person who reported it believed it was put there to cause harm.
Police are now urging everyone to look in the ticket dispenser area before retrieving your parking ticket.
Police said there are no indications this incident is related to a similar one earlier this year, when a needle was found taped to handrail in a downtown Victoria parkade.
