It’s about to get a lot easier for islanders to get to and from Quebec.

Yesterday morning, Air Canada announced its plans to expand travel routes by adding a direct flight service from Victoria to Montreal starting June 2018.

Starting June 22nd, Victoria International Airport will be servicing three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays) between the two cities on a 136 seat Airbus 319.

Air Canada will also be introducing direct flights from Nanaimo to Toronto starting June 21st. These flights will run every week (Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) on a 136 seat Airbus 319, until October 8th, 2018.

“We are expanding our domestic network with our flexible fleet, products and services to capitalize on the growing seasonal demand to and from Vancouver Island during the peak summer travel period and will offer vacation travellers from Eastern Canada more convenient travel options,” says Benjamin Smith, President, Passenger Airlines at Air Canada.
