Last week, it was announced that the first lifting of the new Johnson Street bridge would take place on Monday, February 5th.
According to the City of Victoria, the lift began at 9:30 PM and ended at about 11 PM, during which the bridge was raised to 20 degrees, and there were no problems during the exercise.
