Canada wins GOLD in men’s Big Air snowboarding in Pyeongchang

Canada is going BIG before going home.

Sébastien Toutant put on a brilliant performance to secure the gold in the Big Air Snowboard competition at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

Toutant, from  L’Assomption, Que., scored 84.75 and 89.50 in his first two runs. His fell in the landing of his third run.

Max Parrot, from Bromont, Que., was sixth heading into the final run. He fell on his final in his attempt to get on the podium. Parrot finished 9th.

Mark McMorris fell on his two runs, putting him out of medal contention to finish in 10th. McMorris captured bronze last Sunday, and Max Parrot won silver.
