Galloping Goose Trail to temporarily detour this weekend

Share

The BC Government has issued a media release advising cyclists and pedestrians of a temporary detour along the Galloping Goose Trail, between Grange Road and Belgrave Road, over the weekend of March 17-18, 2018.

The detour is the result of ongoing work for the McKenzie interchange project and will allow rock-scaling operations to be completed, in preparation for retaining-wall construction and to reinforce the foundation of the pathway.

Work Must Be Done in Daylight

According to the release, due to the precise nature of scaling operations, work must be done in daylight, as opposed to overnight.

Signage along the trail has notified cyclists and pedestrians of the upcoming detour since Friday, March 9, 2018. The detour route will be posted and monitored by the contractor throughout the weekend.
