It appears that Ming’s restaurant has closed for good

Share

Back in February, one of Victoria’s most popular Chinese restaurants closed for renovations after a Vancouver Island Health Authority inspection.

Ming’s restaurant was found to be in violation of several health codes, and was declared to be highly hazardous. No hot water was available for cleaning, liquid soap and paper towels were not provided at hand sinks, and several parts of the kitchen needed repairing.

As of today, however, there appears to be a fence around the establishment (see photo above), indicating that the restaurant may have shut its doors for good.

We also attempted to reach out to the restaurant owners/staff, only to discover that their phone line has been disconnected.

Looks like the intersection of Quadra and Johnson streets is no longer a Chinese food destination for hungry Victorians.
