Share

Summers in Victoria tend to be filled with good weather and great music, and 2018 promises to be no exception.

This week, the latest addition to our city’s summer of great tunes came in the form of the Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival lineup announcement!

June 20-24, the 19th Annual Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival welcomes the world with a staggeringly diverse lineup full of the finest grooves and rhythms from around the globe.

Headlining the fest are The Mighty Mighty Bosstones! These Ska-Punk icons last graced the Victoria Fest almost a decade ago, and this time they’ll take the marquee stage at Ship Point in Victoria’s famous Inner Harbour.

If the name of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones doesn’t ring a bell, you might recognize them from their huge 90s hit The Impression That I Get.

Other big names at the 2018 Fest include Los Angeles outfit Ozomatli feat. Chali 2na, who are considered one of the most exciting bands in North America, Panteon Rococo, one of the biggest Ska bands to come out of Mexico, and Kingston Rudieska, from South Korea.

The stage at Ship Point will host free, all-ages programming featuring internationally recognized bands, playing a variety of styles and genres, all guaranteed to make you move.
