UsedVictoria ad seeks buyers for the old Blue bridge

If you’ve got a large body of water and can’t figure out how to cross it, this post is perfect for you!

Just before the new Johnson Street bridge opened to the public, an interesting “advertisement” popped up on popular goods and services exchange platform, UsedVictoria.

Entitled ‘Want to buy a bridge? #BridgeforSale”, the post appears to be trying to sell the old Johnson Street bridge to anyone who wants it.

The seller, whose username is ‘BrooklynBridge’ suggests various uses for old Blue, like charging a toll for people to cross it, turning it into a public art installation, or sinking it to create an artificial reef.

There was one catch though: the buyer would have had to disassemble and pick up the bridge themselves.

For now, the old bridge still stands strong, so it looks like there weren’t any takers!
