These roads will be closed on Sunday for the TC10K run

The 29th annual TC10K race is happening this Sunday, and if you’re not among the 8,000+ participants, you’ll want to know which route to take to avoid closed streets.

The 10K course takes racers through a scenic route around downtown Victoria and Dallas Road, and starts on Government and Belleville Street between the Empress Hotel and the Legislature buildings – this starting point will be closed to traffic from 5 AM to 2 PM tomorrow.

According to the Times Colonist, the route will head north on Government/Wharf to Johnson, east on Johnson, south on Vancouver, east on Richardson, south on Moss, east on May, south on Memorial to Dallas Road, then along Dallas, finishing in front of the legislative buildings. All intersections along this route will be closed to traffic.

All of these streets will be closed to traffic as of 7:45 AM on Sunday, and no on-street parking will be allowed from 4 AM to 11 AM. The roads will reopening at varying times.

Here’s an approximate list of when each street will reopen to traffic:

  • Government at Humboldt – 8:36 AM
  • Johnson at Douglas – 8:47 AM
  • Johnson at Quadra – 8:55 AM
  • Vancouver at Richardson – 9:06 AM
  • Richardson at Moss – 9:14 AM
  • Dallas at Memorial – 11:30 AM
  • Dallas at Cook – 11:40
  • Dallas at Douglas – 11:50
  • Belleville at Oswego – 12 noon
