A popular downtown eatery has been listed as for sale after closing without notice or explanation in early April.
Chorizo and Co. Spanish Eatery is listed on garybazuik.com with an asking price of $120,000.
“A great space in a great building just in time for summer,” the listing says. Victoria Buzz could not confirm the exact date the listing was posted.
Calls from Victoria Buzz to Chorizo and Co.’s phone number went unanswered, but an unidentified employee responded to a Facebook message, saying they had no comment to make on the closure at this time.
Store closure was announced on social media
On a Facebook post dated March 28th, Chorizo and Co. wrote, “Heads up everyone. We’ll be taking a short break next week from Monday April 2nd through Sunday April 8th for a little spring cleaning and a lot of relaxing. #breaktime #familytime #yyj”
On April 7th, a second post was made that read, “Very sorry everyone. Looks like we’ll be closed a little longer than expected. Stay tuned to our feed for future updates.”
With no updates since then, we’ll have to wait and see if a new owner steps in to reopen Chorizo and Co.’s doors.
