A Victoria man has been left with what’s been called potentially “life-altering injuries” after he was assaulted with a weapon in Beacon Hill Park early Saturday morning.
Officers said they were called to Beacon Hill Park just before 1 a.m. for a report of an assault.
Police were able to locate the victim, and a short while later they were able to identify and locate a suspect.
He was taken into custody but has since been released on a number of strict conditions.
Investigative Services Major Crime Unit detectives and Forensic Identification investigators are continuing to investigate this file.
Police said they would provide more updates as the investigation progresses.
