Sidney/North Saanich RCMP are once again reminding residents to lock their vehicles after another rash of unlocked vehicle thefts this week.

Police received several reports on Wednesday, May 9th, of vehicles being rummaged through and property being stolen.

During investigations, police determined that a large number of unlocked vehicles were entered by unknown persons and various items and loose change were stolen.

The thefts occurred in the area of Brethour Parkway and Epco Drive in
Sidney.

It’s not the first time Sidney/North Saanich residents have been subject to vehicle thefts; similar incidents took place last fall and in February 2017.

If you have been the victim of a similar crime, or have any information pertaining to this or any other crime, you are urged to contact the Sidney / North Saanich RCMP Detachment, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
