Here’s what is happening on Canada Day in downtown Victoria

Share

We’re gearing up for Canada 151, and so is the city of Victoria!

This year’s celebrations may not be as grandiose as last year, but it’ll still be well worth a trip for you to head downtown on Canada Day (Sunday, July 1st).

The City of Victoria is partnering with Coast Capital Savings to bring you a community celebration featuring a host of performances by local bands, family-friendly activities, the annual living flag, and finally, a spectacular fireworks show you can’t miss!

Bring the whole family over to experience a varied mix of local food vendors, and an expanded Kid’s Zone featuring face-painting, balloon twisters, a bouncy castle and more.

As for the performances, get ready to have your socks rocked off by local musicians, dancers, and artists on the Main Stage.

Here’s the list of performers:

  • Carmanah
  • Olivier Couture
  • Band of Rascals
  • Batuque Axé
  • Paint the Town Red
  • Addie Elliott
  • DJ Goadman of the One’s and Two’s
  • Lekwungen Dancers
  • Wong Sheung Kung-Fu Club’s traditional Lion Dance
  • Uminari Taiko
  • Victoria’s Youth Poet Laureate Agartu Ali
  • Sooke Community Choir
  • One band/musician who’ll win their spot on the Main Stage by entering here.

See you there!
