One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a stabbing in downtown Victoria Saturday afternoon.
Around 4:30 pm, Victoria Police were called to the to the intersection of Johnson and Quadra streets for a report of an assault with a weapon, believed to be a knife.
Upon their arrival, officers found one man suffering from a stab wound. He was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police located the suspect four hours later, not far from the scene (Pandora Avenue and Vancouver Street), after receiving a report of a man matching the suspect’s description.
He was taken into custody without incident and was found to be in possession of a knife.
