Comox Valley RCMP are investigating after a woman’s body was found in Courtenay’s Puntledge River.
Police say the body was discovered in the water near 3rd Street and Harmston Avenue at about 7:30 PM on May 31st.
Investigators are currently working with the BC Coroner’s Service to determine the circumstances surrounding her death. At this time, they are seeking witnesses to the incident.
“We are asking for the public’s assistance for any information regarding this incident,” stated Cst. Monika Terragni.
“If someone drove, cycled, or walked int his area and noticed anything suspicious, please contact our Major Crime Unit.”
