For a lot of you daredevils and thick-skinned folks, jumping into freezing cold water is no big deal. Just look at how many people take part in annual polar bear swims in January!
But now that the sun has been shining for a while and temperatures are on the rise, there are quite a few lakes in and around town that are warm enough for even the frostiest of swimmers to take a dip in.
Tried and tested by Victorians on Reddit and other forums, here are six lakes in and around town that are now suitable for a pleasant afternoon/evening swim:
1. Durrance Lake
2. Thetis Lake
3. Langford Lake
4. Matheson Lake

5. Elk Lake
6. Peden Lake

Some of these lakes have a bit of a hike before you can get to the swimming part, so make sure you’ve got plenty of time on hand before heading out!
