The world-class Shaolin Kung Fu stage production “The Legend of Shaolin” is coming to the Royal Theatre in Victoria on June 23!
Audiences will witness the best Shaolin Kung Fu masters display spectacular feats of strength and skill, including breaking copperplates with qigong power skills, climbing knife mountain, and various weapon demonstrations.
Shaolin Kung Fu is one of the oldest and most famous styles of kungfu. It combines Zen Buddhism with martial arts, and originated in the Shaolin temple in the Henan province of China over 1,500 years ago.
Shaolin combat methods are taught through forms, of which there are hundreds, even thousands, of extant styles. That makes Shaolin the biggest school of martial art in the world.
