Update: Police have confirmed that Giuliano Passeri has been found and is safe.

Earlier: Central Saanich Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 26-year-old man, Giuliano Passeri.

Passeri is visiting Canada from New Zealand and was last seen on July 6, 2018 at 11:30 pm at Island View Beach in Central Saanich.

He was last heard from on July 7, 2018 at approximately 11:30 am and has not contacted his immediate family since, which is described as out of character for him.


Passeri is described as a Caucasian man with olive-toned skin standing 5’7″ tall, weighing approximately 150 lbs with a slim build.

He has short brown hair, facial hair on his chin, brown eyes, and a mole on his left cheek. Passeri also has several tattoos including a Joker on his right forearm and Latin script on his left forearm.

He was last seen wearing a red Blue Jays baseball hat with a maple leaf on the front, a black Puma sweatshirt, black shorts, and blue Nike flip-flops, and was carrying a large red backpack and a small navy backpack.
