Police are investigating after a serious motor vehicle collision closed Lands End Road in North Saanich for several hours on Monday night.
Sidney/North Saanich RCMP responded to reports of a collision at 3:45 p.m. after a grey Jeep SUV drove off Lands End Road and crashed into the trees.
The driver, a 71-year-old North Saanich woman, sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital where she remained in critical condition on Tuesday.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
