With the weekend just around the corner, the whole city’s buzzing about one thing: the 150th Saanich Fair!
This year, they’ve got a jam packed schedule full of fair classics like a pie eating contest, pedal tractor races, local farm fresh produce, and more.
True to its agrarian roots, the fair will also showcase up to 27 types of farm animals, from chickens to alpacas, and everything in between.
But besides that, they’ve got tons of entertainment lined up for kids and grown ups alike!

Saturday, September 1st
- 9:30 a.m. – Highland Dance
- 12 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies
- 1 p.m. – Highland Dance
- 4 p.m. – Island Savings – Penny the Owl
- 4:30 p.m. – CO-OP Pie Eating Contest
- 5 p.m. – The Chick Wagon Band

Sunday, September 2nd
