Police investigating stabbing in the West Shore (UPDATED)

A stabbing incident has sent one man to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident began unfolding just after 5:30 p.m. Friday when a pickup truck pulled into the Corona Foods store parking lot on Sooke Road at Kelly Road in Colwood.

The male victim driving the truck was found suffering from serious stab wounds.

About a dozen emergency vehicles flooded the area for about an hour.

The stabbing is believed to have occurred in the Metchosin area, but police would not provide details on the location.

West Shore RCMP said the victim’s injuries are considered non-life threatening.

It’s unclear if a suspect has been arrested yet.
