Yup, it’s already the last Friday of the month!

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria today to kick off your weekend:

Victoria Royals vs Kamloops Blazers

  • What: The Royals continue their four game homestand on Friday, September 28th and Saturday, September 29th against the Kamloops Blazers . Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. for both games. They are 2-0 to start the season.
  • When: Puck drops at 7:05, doors open at 6 pm
  • Where: Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre  - 1925 Blanshard St

A Doll’s House, Part 2

  • What: The Canadian premiere of A Doll’s House, Part 2 (by Lucas Hnath) stars Martha Burns (Slings & Arrows), Benedict Campbell, Barbara Gordon, and Alice Snaden.“Smart, funny and utterly engrossing…” The New York Times

    In 1879, when Nora left her husband and children at the end of Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, her door slam reverberated around the world, creating a storm of controversy; much of it focussed on Ibsen’s clarion call for gender equality.

  • When: 8 p.m.
  • Where: Belfry Theatre – 1291 Gladstone Avenue

Last Friday 90’s Night of the year!

  • What:  Summer is over and next week Hecklers Bar & Grill go back to comedy on Friday nights, but not before our last 90’s night. There will also be old school video games on all the TVs and 90’s music all night.
  • When: 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Where:  Hecklers Bar & Grill – 123 Gorge Road East

Ghostly Walks 

  • What: Ghostly Walks are 90 minute walking tours conducted every night from May 1 to October 31 and on weekends through the rest of the year. During the tour, expect to hear great storytelling as we guide you through the streets and alleys of Victoria, a ghost-hunter’s paradise.
  • When: 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: Tour starts in front of the Visitor Info Center at the corner of Wharf St. and Government St.

Eyes of Society at the Robert Bateman Centre 

  • What: Art, Traditional Knowledge, and the Watchmen of Haida Gwaii, is a collection of thirty artworks by ten Haida and non-indigenous artists to be featured at the Robert Bateman Centre
  • When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Where: The Robert Bateman Centre – 470 Belleville St
