West Shore RCMP have arrested a 34-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a man multiple times.

At about 5:40 p.m. on Friday evening, a 58-year-old man was found with stab wounds to his head, face, abdomen, and hands.

He was in his vehicle at the Corona Foods store parking lot on Sooke Road at Kelly Road in Colwood when BC Ambulance Services and West Shore RCMP arrived on site. The victim is still being treated, but is in stable condition.

The assault took place at a different location, after which the victim and a witness drove away from the scene and stopped at the parking lot on Sooke Rd to call for help.

The suspect, who was known to the victim, was quickly arrested for aggravated assault and is expected to appear in court this afternoon.

“This investigation is still active and members are working to collect further evidence at the scene,” says Cst. Nancy Saggar of the West Shore RCMP.

“As such the exact location of the scene will not be disclosed at this time. We believe that this incident was isolated with only one victim. Since this incident, several other witnesses have come forward and provided information to the police.”

If you have any information about this investigation, please contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or online www.victoriacrimestoppers.ca.
