UPDATE: The BC Coroners Service have confirmed a motorcyclist in his late 30s has succumbed to his injuries following a two vehicle crash at Esquimalt Lagoon.
Ocean Boulevard in Colwood was closed in both directions for several hours following the collision.
The crash which involved a red car and motorcycle occurred near the bridge at Esquimalt Lagoon, just before 7 p.m. Thursday.
Witnesses told Victoria Buzz it appeared the red car pulled in front of the motorcycle while attempting to park.
The motorcyclist attempted to stop and was already up on his front wheel before crashing into the back passenger side of the vehicle.
