Firefighters and police rushed to the scene of an SUV that burst into flames Wednesday afternoon in Saanich.
The incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. at the corner of Obed and Earl near the Gorge Waterway. Witnesses said the BMW SUV was burning before the vehicle occupants noticed the blaze.
Both were able to get out the vehicle unharmed.
The driver of the vehicle told people in the area they had just picked up the vehicle from being repaired.
