Two men arrested following Saanich home invasion on Sunday

Another serious incident lead to a large police presence in Saanich on Sunday.

Police say a man forced his way into a home in the 700 block of Paskin Way at around 9:30 a.m.; assaulted a man with a weapon then stole items from the house.

Police located the suspects at a residence in the 4100 block of Barrington Road, and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team were called in to assist with the arrest.

Two Saanich men, a 32-year-old and 42-year-old, were arrested in connection to the incident and are now facing a variety of charges including break and enter and theft.

All parties were known to each other and there is no risk to the public, according to police.

The victim was not injured during the incident.

Police said this incident is not related to the attack on Carey Road Saturday afternoon that has left a 41-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
